Robert B. Malamis, M.D.

Dr. Malamis earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Towson State University.
He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical System where he served as chief resident from 1995 to 1996.
Dr. Malamis is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Prior to joining Internal Medicine Specialists of Atlanta, he was clinical instructor at University of Maryland School of Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Malamis enjoys running, travel, photography and reading.
Wesley A. Hoke, M.D.
Wesley A. Hoke, M.D.
Dr. Hoke is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2000, he graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry. He then earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed Family Medicine residency in Austin, Texas, in 2007. Dr. Hoke is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Hoke has been practicing in North Atlanta since moving to Georgia in 2007. He joined Internal Medicine Specialists of Atlanta in July of 2014. In his spare time, Dr. Hoke enjoys live music and traveling.
John L. Elliott, M.D.

Dr Elliott is a native of the greater Atlanta area. He is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine where he also completed his Internal Medicine Residency with a focus on Primary Care. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr Elliott has an interest in hypertension, HIV, weight control, and diabetes management. He has published research in diabetes and vitamin B12.
His interest in medicine began when he joined the Peace Corps, after attending the University of Georgia, where he spent two years working in rural southern Madagascar advancing health education.
In his spare time he enjoys gardening, hiking, and theater.
Emily Poppens, M.D.

Dr. Poppens received her Bachelors of Arts degree in International Studies from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She obtained her Post-Baccalaureate Pre Medical Studies from New York University and is a graduate SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University, where she went on to serve as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Poppens is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the Society for General Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Poppens is originally from Kentucky, but now considers Atlanta home. She is married with two children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family enjoying the Botanical Gardens, area hiking, parks and museums.
Caitlin R. Anderson, MD, MPH

Dr. Anderson received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Emory University. After a brief career as an art consultant for the hospitality industry, she pursued her Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Studies at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. She went on to obtain a dual Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degree from Emory University School of Medicine and Rollins School of Public Health. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Emory, before serving as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Dr. Anderson is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians. She has published research in medical education and is passionate about preventive medicine.
A native Atlantan, Dr. Anderson enjoys exploring Atlanta’s restaurants, cooking, exercising, traveling, and spending time with her husband and her dog, Bella.

Hope received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. She went on to receive her Masters in Science as a Physician Assistant from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2009. She has worked in both Family Practice and Internal Medicine since graduation, and has a special interest in diet modification and healthy lifestyle. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Hope is a Georgia native. In her free time she enjoys going to concerts, hiking and travel.

Madeleine received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from the University of Virginia, graduating with distinction. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies from Mercer University in Atlanta in 2022. Madeleine was honored to receive the Distinguished Graduate Award for the Mercer Physician Assistant class of 2022 as well as the Dean’s Excellence Award. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. Madeleine is passionate about preventative medicine and her goal is to help patients live their healthiest, fullest lives.
Madeleine is a native of Virginia, but now considers Atlanta home. In her spare time, Madeleine enjoys exercising, traveling with her husband, reading, and trying new restaurants.
Forrest Griffin, PA-C
Forrest Griffin, PA-C
Forrest is originally from Dothan, Alabama but now considers Atlanta home. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. He went on to receive his Master’s of Health Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.
He moved to Atlanta in 2010 and has worked in the field of Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease as a Physician Assistant since then. He has an interest in HIV management, endocrinology and preventative medicine.
Forrest enjoys hiking, crossword puzzles, traveling and spending time in the North Georgia mountains with his husband and dog.

Kiran is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing personalized and compassionate care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University in 2020 and went on to complete her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Mercer University in 2022, specializing in family practice. With inpatient acute care experience in internal medicine and additional work as a nurse practitioner in urology, Kiran brings a diverse and well-rounded clinical background to her practice. Her experience in internal medicine has equipped her with a strong foundation in managing complex health conditions, while her urology experience further enhances her ability to care for patients with specialized needs.
Kiran is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in healthcare to ensure her patients receive the best possible care.
Outside of her professional life, Kiran enjoys exploring new foods, hiking, traveling, and connecting with people from all walks of life. Volunteering is also an important part of her life, as she believes in giving back to the community and making a positive impact.
